Lone Spruce Seed Farms are a fourth generation farm in the Innisfree - Two Hills area of Alberta. It is owned and operated by Mr. Kitz and his three sons. Lone Spruce Seed Farms direct seed 5,300 acres and run a 400 head cow-calf operation.
Lone Spruce Seed Farms are pedigreed seed growers and their son, Larry, is currently on the Alberta Branch Board of the Canadian Seed Grower's Association. Larry is also co-founder and president of "Cropmasters", a crop club based in the Two Hills-Vegreville region, which does work in crop production, marketing and extensive research in direct seeding and soil conservation.
